Texas has once again been recognized as the Top Business Climate in America by Site Selection magazine, marking its third consecutive win. Governor Greg Abbott celebrated the achievement, calling it proof of the state’s continued leadership in economic growth and business development.
“Texas once again stands out as the nation’s top state for business,” said Governor Abbott. “Being the eighth-largest economy globally, the state offers the freedom and opportunities companies need to grow and thrive across every industry.”
The ranking highlights the state’s strong job creation, pro-business laws, and strategic investments that make it easier for companies to grow and expand. Abbott added that new pro-growth policies signed this year have further improved the business environment, strengthening Texas’s position as the nation’s leading state for investment and innovation.
Several factors contributed to Texas’s top ranking, including the number of corporate relocations and expansion projects, a skilled workforce, advanced infrastructure, access to technology and talent, and a predictable regulatory system. A key part of the magazine’s evaluation included feedback from corporate real estate executives and site selectors, where Texas earned the highest marks.
Earlier in 2025, Governor Abbott also accepted Site Selection’s Governor’s Cup for the 13th consecutive year, recognizing Texas as the top-performing state for business relocations and expansions. The state additionally won the 2025 Prosperity Cup, which honors the best state in the U.S. for attracting new investments.
