Background-

Prinova, a wholly owned subsidiary of the NAGASE Group and a leading supplier of ingredients and premixes, has appointed Brent Laffey as President, North America, effective January 1, 2027.

Laffey will lead both the Distribution and Value-Added businesses in North America. The new structure gives customers easier access to Prinova’s ingredient portfolio and its technical strengths, including product development, nutrient premixes, particle technologies and contract manufacturing.

Masaya Ikemoto, Chairman and CEO of Prinova Group, said the company’s performance is strong and sees major opportunities ahead. He said Laffey brings commercial leadership, deep industry knowledge and global experience across both businesses. Ikemoto added that uniting the two units under Laffey will help Prinova unlock more of its capabilities and speed up growth.

Laffey has worked with Prinova since 2007. In 2015, he co-founded Armada Nutrition, now part of Prinova, and helped grow it to $250 million in sales. He rejoined Prinova in 2025 and has led the North America commercial team, which has posted strong results.

Laffey said he returned because he believes in the company’s people and capabilities to serve the food, beverage and nutrition industry. He said he will bring the company’s strengths together to create more value for customers and respond quickly to market opportunities.

The move follows Prinova’s recent purchase of a production facility of more than 170,000 square feet in Bloomingdale, Illinois. The site will expand production and distribution capacity and strengthen the company’s Midwest presence.
