Guardant Health landed a place on Business Insider’s America’s Most Innovative Businesses 2027 list, taking the highest five star rating shared with just 12 other biotechnology companies.
The inaugural list recognizes companies for innovative performance over the preceding five years, highlighting Guardant among leading biotechnology firms known for translating research investment into real world impact.
The recognition is based on three main criteria, strong research and development investment relative to revenue, peer perception gathered through an industry professional survey, and patent growth and volume.
Guardant’s innovation stems from its evolving product portfolio, clinical performance and lab operations, supported by InfinityAI, its multiomic technology platform powering next generation cancer tests.
Chairman and co-CEO Helmy Eltoukhy said the honor reflects Guardant’s leadership in molecular profiling through liquid biopsy and highlights the company’s growing role in advancing cancer care.
Co-CEO AmirAli Talasaz said the recognition reflects the company’s commitment to making cancer detection more accessible, noting that Guardant has delivered over 1 million patient tests.
The company’s recent milestones include the FDA approved Shield blood test for colorectal cancer screening and the Guardant360 Liquid CDx panel, which assesses a significantly wider genomic footprint than earlier versions.
