Background-
MNK International has launched MNK International North America, a new broking business led by Chief Executive Officer Julian Ball. The unit will give North American producers and clients access to specialist insurance solutions through the London and Bermuda markets.
Ball, based in London, will build specialist teams to broaden the firm’s product offering and deepen relationships with clients across North America. The business will target established sectors including transportation and auto, commercial property, delegated authority business, professional and financial lines, marine hull and cargo, healthcare and life science, natural resources, construction and engineering, crisis management, renewable energy and cyber.
Ball will also lead development of a digital platform designed for North American clients while exploring proprietary solutions in partnership with other businesses within the MNK Group. He said the ambition across MNK International, paired with its investment in people, technology and new capabilities, drew him to the role.
Ball said North America represents a significant opportunity for MNK International, pointing to shifts in the broking market that are fueling demand for an independent, collaborative alternative giving producers access to specialist expertise and capacity in London and Bermuda. He said he looks forward to building the broking platform, developing specialist teams and expanding the firm’s reach across both established and emerging market segments.
